GET COZY, JOSEY!

Josey Anderson is getting used to living in Moscow. She may not enjoy it, but she’s used to lugging two preschoolers and her groceries over the subway system and up seven flights of stairs. But she’s dreaming about a house, a backyard, and family nearby. She takes her husband, Chase, and their twins camping by the Black Sea in order to soften the blow that she wants to return stateside.
So how died she end up in her new home on the frozen tundra of a Siberian village? There’s no indoor plumbing – or even junk food. Josey is horrified by the conditions, but at least she has a house—and a yard—even if she has to bundle up in ten-layers just to use the “bathroom” (read outhouse.)
Chase is gone all the time, making friends with all the men in the village, and Josey is home trying to juggle the twins, meet the local wives, and learning how to cook on a furnace, and wash by hand. Finding time with Chase is a challenge. Is Josey up to it?
GET COZY, JOSEY! is the continuous story of Josey and her life in Russia. I enjoyed reading about life in Siberia, and even her ministry to the villagers, though she technically was no longer a missionary. I envied her the opportunity to experience life like this.
At times, GET COZY, JOSEY! seemed to drag, but the lure of life in Siberia, and the deep description of life there kept me reading. I had to find out what happens next. GET COZY, JOSEY! is excellent for homeschoolers, for those planning mission trips, or for just plain fun reading. The cover is adorable too. Discussion questions are included at the end of the book.
