How many diets have you been on? Now be honest. If you’re like most people, probably a lot. Why is that? Why is the dieting industry so huge? And why with all that "help" is it still so very hard to lose weight but so very easy to gain it all back, if not more? Why are such statistics thrown around that only 5% of those who lose weight actually keep it off?

Chantel had the same questions and wanted real answers. She’d spent her life yoyoing until one night when she was driving home from church. The whole world seemed to come crashing down around her. She pulled over crying. She’d reached almost 350 lbs and knew that she had to do something once and for all. That night changed her life. As she sit there crying she heard the words: "You’re not being the best you can be." She went on to live those words. She decided from that moment on she’d make losing weight her job.

Before she tackled nutrition, she hit the gym. She told herself that she was going to do something, anything, for 30 minutes a day, every day, 6 days a week no matter what. So that first morning, a 349 woman dressed in sweats, climbed on the first bike she saw and peddled for 30 minutes. And so it began.

image In the book, Chantel outlines everything she did that not only helped her to lose 200 lbs, but gave her the strength to start running marathons. The core of her philosophy is a set of 5 brain changing decisions. With these tools you can change your life and say good-bye to dieting forever because you’ll learn what your body really needs to eat and the exercising it needs to function properly.

Chantel also wrote a fitness trainer workbook to go with the main book. Every section of the main book has a corresponding section in the trainer book.

I highly recommend both books. The worst thing you can do to your body is yoyo dieting. There has to be a true change, but one that happens slowly over time to give your body a chance to develop and hold on to new habits.
